Eco-Site has developed and repurposed countless sites for wireless densification. We have seen firsthand the immense challenges faced by carriers to meet the ever-increasing need for wireless coverage. In urban cores, the issue is critical and complicated. In these highly populated areas, multiple interests are at stake: local communities, landowners and government bodies as well as carrier and technological requirements. Each problem presented to us is unique, requiring individual, customized solutions—and we gladly accept the challenge. Our case studies give a glimpse into the Eco-Site experience. See what we’ve done, and imagine what we can do for you.
A major carrier approached Eco-Site to solve network capacity and coverage challenges in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The development team evaluated the request, examined properties within the carrier’s search ring and identified an unused parcel in the city. The empty, under-utilized lot offered an ideal location, standing at a well-traveled intersection in a populated area.
Eco-Site approached the landowner and guided a smooth site acquisition process, before starting construction on a monopole tower. The project was completed on-time and met all zoning and aesthetic requests.
The tower solves the carrier’s network challenges, delivering enhanced coverage and faster network speeds for wireless customers. But that means more than just wait-free YouTube videos and reliable social media updates – the improved wireless coverage offers significant public safety and economic benefits. Milwaukee residents benefit from more reliable access to emergency service, enhanced location accuracy on 911 calls, more efficient wireless utility meters and increased bandwidth to help local businesses connect with customers.
The site is also built to handle future network requirements. With capacity to house two additional carriers and accommodate future 5G network modernizations, carriers and the Milwaukee community are set up for long-term success.
